We’re transforming the way our customers travel by enhancing the Amtrak® experience, both in station and on board. By 2021, we’ll be introducing new high-speed trainsets along the Northeast Corridor—the next generation of Acela® Express. This new service will provide our customers with more trains, more seats, better amenities and a smoother ride.

We’re also upgrading our infrastructure with significant station improvements in New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, and improved track capacity and ride quality along the Northeast Corridor. All in an effort to make Amtrak the smarter way to travel.

Designed for a smoother ride.
Destined for a greater experience.

With Alstom’s anticipative tilting system, the new trainsets will feature a smoother ride quality comparable to international high-speed train service.
